Michelle Powell, Teacher
Michelle holds a diploma in Outdoor Adventure from Algonquin College and a Bachelor of Tourism Management with a Double Honours Major in Entrepreneurship and Adventure Studies from Thompson Rivers University. She completed her Bachelor of Education through Trent University. She has been involved in education for over 15 years in varying capacities through traditional classroom settings and outdoor education programs. She is passionate about working with youth and guiding them through their educational journey.
Jamie Honderich, Outdoor Education
Jamie holds a Master of Arts in Environmental Science from the University of Waterloo. He completed the Special Education Certificate I in Behavioural and Learning Disabilities at University of Western Ontario. In addition, he holds a Bachelor of Education with a focus on Physical Education and Geography from the University of Western Ontario, and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography, Sociology and Physical Education from Wilfred Laurier University. Jaimie has over 25 years experience teaching outdoor and physical education and holds numerous certifications in outdoor skills, safety and first aid.
Trent Diaz, Outdoor Education
Trent holds a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with specializations in History and Geography from Lakehead University. In addition, he completed a Bachelor of Education with Lakehead University. He has 5 years of combined experience as a teacher and an outdoor educator. He is a certified Wilderness First Responder and is trained in moving water canoeing. Trent is passionate about the outdoors.
